Rachael Savtchenko
PRESIDENT
Hello! My family moved to Sewickley in Winter 2019 and had our first boy the next year. Thank goodness my neighbor told me about Mom's Club as I was going stir crazy and was in serious need of mom friends. The playdates, family events, and mom's nights have been such a big part of my early motherhood. I'm thrilled to help keep the fun going so our club can continue to support moms in our community. When I'm not playing with my two boys (4 & 2)... I enjoy gardening, yoga, pickleball, reading, and baking.

VICE PRESIDENT
Rachael Wonderlin is the club vice president and Mom to her sweet one-year-old son. Rachael founded and runs her own senior living and dementia care consulting business. She and her husband, Ron, also share a cat and a dog. Rachael is a published author and does improv comedy in her spare time, which is how Rachael and Ron met! She loves the gym and walking in the Village.

Robin Bolea
TREASURER
Hi, I’m Robin Bolea, a mom of a fun-loving three-year-old and a proud Sewickley resident for the past three years. My husband Stephen, our dog Winston, and I love being part of this community. As the treasurer of the Sewickley Area Moms Club, I enjoy connecting with other moms and discovering fun activities to do with toddlers in the area. Looking forward to meeting more local moms and sharing great experiences together!

SOCIAL CHAIR
Hello! I’m thrilled to serve as one of the social chairs planning our all-ages holiday parties. Originally from Los Angeles, the pandemic inspired our little family to leave the DC suburbs to bubble with my in-laws in Cranberry in 2020. We missed the walkability of DC so we moved to Sewickley village in fall 2022. I joined SAMC a few months later and it has been a wonderful way to make friends for both me and my kids. I’m a stay at home mom in this season of my life, caring for Naomi (5) and Lily (9 months). When I get a free moment, I love to read sci-fi and fantasy novels, practice yoga, and have impromptu dance parties.

Kristin Weber
SOCIAL CHAIR
I grew up in Pittsburgh, before beginning my career as a high school English teacher in Northern Virginia. My husband, Ryan, and I returned home and settled in Sewickley in 2016 knowing we would soon start a family. I’ve been at home with our children since 2020 and joined the Mom’s Club in 2023. We have two boys and a little girl—Brady, Beau, and Leni.

Allison Johnston
SOCIAL CHAIR
I moved to Sewickley in 2023, although my husband, Jed grew up here. I am currently staying at home full time with my children Beau, 7 and Estelle, 4. Before deciding to stay at home, I taught music classes and piano lessons for over 10 years. Looking forward to planning and enjoying some fun events with great women and families this year!

SOCIAL CHAIR
We moved to Sewickley in November 2023 and welcomed our baby girl, Ellie, the next month. One of the first things I did when moving to the village was join the mom's club, and I love how welcoming and supportive this group has been for me as a new mom. I work as a nurse at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, but on my days off- we can be seen strolling the streets of Sewickley with our dog, Bailey!

Jennifer Belliveau
SUNSHINE CHAIR
I grew up in Wexford but lived away from Pittsburgh for 20 years. When we moved back to Sewickley from London two years ago, I joined SAMC as a great way to meet other local women. With a busy work travel schedule and three kids at home, SAMC has been an amazing resource to get to know the community and the many wonderful families who live here. I love to cook and am excited to help new parents and others who need a helping hand with meal trains as the Sunshine Chair!

Becca Hazlett Root
BABIES COORDINATOR
Originally from Detroit, I lived in Boston for 8 years prior to moving to Sewickley with my husband and pup in 2023. We knew we wanted to be close to family (my husband grew up in Pittsburgh) when we started our family. Our daughter Addie was born in November 2023 and I joined the Mom's club right before she arrived. It has been a wonderfully supportive group, especially as a Pittsburgh newbie! I had been working remotely for my company in Boston, but just started a new role at The Pittsburgh Foundation. I look forward to co-planning playdates for the babies group with Ali, as well as meeting more moms through this group!

Ali Shaltes
BABIES COORDINATOR
I grew up in central PA but spent many weekends as a kid visiting family in Sewickley. I’ve always known it’s a special place. When my husband and I had our son Solomon in 2019, we made the decision to move from Richmond, VA to Sewickley to be near our families. I worked as a middle school teacher for over a decade, but recently decided to take some time off as we’ve just welcomed baby Claudia into our crew. My aunt was part of SAMC over 20 years ago and some of her closest friends to this day are the moms that she met through this organization. I want the same for myself! I’m looking forward to another year of making memories with my neighbors and watching our babies grow up together!

Lily Starr
3 & UNDER COORDINATOR
I moved to the Pittsburgh area 10 years ago. My husband grew up in Sewickley and we are excited to be a part of the community again. I’m currently a stay at home mom of a rambunctious silly 3 year old, Gus. The SAMC play dates have been such an amazing outlet for us. We’ve loved connecting and building friendships with other families and look forward to continuing to do so this year.

Elena Chiappa
3 & UNDER COORDINATOR
While I grew up in Philadelphia, my husband and I moved to Sewickley from Detroit in 2021 shortly before welcoming our daughter, Caroline. Mom's club has been a great resource to meet other parents and find friends for my daughter as well as myself. I'm a huge baseball fan and never miss an excuse to go to a game. I'm excited to plan some fun 3 & Under playdates and to do my best to accommodate a range of schedules so we can include as many families as possible.

Julie Alexander
4 & OVER COORDINATOR
We moved from Pittsburgh to Sewickley in the fall of 2020. After living in the city for eight years, we chose Sewickley due to the walkability of the village and great amenities for children. I learned about SAMC when my oldest daughter started preschool and we love attending the wonderful events throughout the year with both of our girls. I look forward to planning fun activities for the 4 & Over group, as well as meeting more moms in the community!
-
Georgette Austin
MNO COORDINATOR
I grew up in the Pittsburgh area and am the proud mom of three wonderful kids. I love making jewelry and own my own business, Georgette Frances Jewelry. I also love spending time in my garden whenever I can. After joining the mom's club last year to meet new mom friends, I'm excited to hop on the board this season to help plan some fun and memorable nights out for all of us!

Rachael Grometer
MNO COORDINATOR
I grew up in Sewickley, moved away for college, then landed in Chicago to start my career. My husband and I met in grad school in Nashville then lived in Denver, Seattle and San Diego together. After having our daughter in 2020, it became important to us to be closer to family. We moved back to Sewickley in 2022 and our son joined us in 2023. I joined the mom’s club soon after and am so glad I did! It’s been wonderful meeting women who are down to earth, supportive and fun. Plus my husband and kids are making friends too. I’m so excited to be a part of this club and contribute to our great Sewickley community!

Kat Walker
WEBSITE COORDINATOR
I grew up in Virginia and have lived in New Mexico, Georgia, and North Carolina. About ten years ago, my husband and I moved to Pittsburgh to settle down, start a business, and grow our family. In the fall of 2021, we relocated to Sewickley with our baby daughter, who’s now 4! Joining the mom's club was one of the best decisions I made as a newbie to "the village"—it has enriched our lives in countless ways. Outside of motherhood, I enjoy painting, photography, exploring nature, going to concerts, reading, traveling, playing video games, trying new restaurants, and all things Halloween!

Ashley Lutz
COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
I grew up in Sewickley, moved away for college and then lived in the city with my now husband many years following. When we finally decided to settle down, we both wanted to stay close to family and knew we couldn't give up the walkability I loved growing up, at college, and living in Shadyside after, so it is no surprise we bought a house in Sewickley in 2016. We now have two daughters - Mackenzie, 4.5 and Rowan, 1.5. After some influence from friends, I finally joined Mom's Club in 2023 after my youngest daughter was born, feeling I needed something for us while I was on maternity leave from work. Since then, the club has provided me with so much more than I could have imagined - new friends for myself and my daughters, new experiences, and a community of resources.
